Called to Love God UNCONDITIONALLY

WHAT IF YOU DID NOT GET WHAT YOU ARE PRAYING FOR OR TRUSTING GOD FOR? WOULD YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS GOD CHANGE? WOULD THAT BE THE END OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD? THAT YOU WILL ONLY GO AS FAR AS YOU BENEFIT; THAT YOUR WORSHIP/FELLOWSHIP/RELATIONSHIP ENDS WHERE THE BENEFITS ENDS?

May my worship and reverence for you be constant throughout all seasons and situations. May my worship, fellowship, and loyalty be steadfast and not hot and cold; determined by my feelings, seasons, and circumstances! May I stick to you through thick and thin! May I rejoice in the Lord of my Salvation always!

But Job replied, “You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?” So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.

Job 2:10 NIV

Not because of what you have done or what you can do for me but solely because of WHO YOU ARE. You are a Sovereign God, My strength, father, and freind. Apart from you, I have no good thing!

Even when I do not get what I long after or desire, even when my prayers do not seem to get answered, may my attitude and worship towards you NEVER change. Through trouble and good times, help me to acknowledge you and be loyal to you. Help me to deeply understand your character (loving, faithful, gracious, merciful, kind, holy, just, and perfect) and walk in the truth that you only have good intentions and plans for me. Over and above, may you be glorified.

I do not want to be thrilled by what I can get from you and fail to see the bigger picture; that I am loyal on condition that I get what I desire from you.

But godliness actually is a source of great gain when accompanied by contentment [that contentment which comes from a sense of inner confidence based on the sufficiency of God].

1 Timothy 6:6 AMP

Teach me the secret of being content in any and every situation. Ambitions and pursuit for riches are unendless; always craving another thing after achieving one. Vanity! You are an ALL-SUFFICIENT GOD. I have everything just by having you.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:12-13 NIV

Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,

yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
